1. What Counts as a “Sale” or “Share” Under CCPA/CPRA
Under California law, the terms “sale” and “share” are defined broadly and may include the disclosure of personal information (such as browsing behavior, device identifiers, or cookie data) to third-party advertising networks, analytics providers, and affiliate networks in exchange for valuable consideration, including for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising and affiliate link attribution — even where no money changes hands directly.
2. Categories of Information That May Be Shared
In connection with advertising, analytics, and affiliate tracking on the Site, the following categories of information may be disclosed to third parties in a manner that could constitute a “sale” or “share” under CCPA/CPRA:
- Online identifiers, IP address, and device information;
- Browsing activity and interaction with content and links on the Site;
- Cookie identifiers and similar tracking technology data; and
- Approximate geolocation data.
We do not sell or share sensitive categories of personal information, such as precise geolocation, financial account details, or health information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
3. How to Opt Out
California residents may opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the following ways:
- Browser and Device Controls: Adjust your cookie settings through your browser, or enable a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor as a valid opt-out request where technically detectable.
- Industry Opt-Out Tools: Use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool to limit interest-based advertising across participating networks.
- Direct Request: Email admin@tedony.com with the subject line “CCPA Opt-Out Request,” including your name and the email address or browser/device you use to access the Site, and we will process your request within the timeframe required by law.
4. Verification of Requests
To protect your information, we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before completing a request that requires identification. For opt-out requests specifically, verification requirements are generally minimal, consistent with CCPA/CPRA guidance.
5. Non-Discrimination
We will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your CCPA/CPRA rights, except as permitted by law.
6. Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of the agent’s authorization and may still require you to verify your own identity directly with us.
